Hygge Energy App

Hygge Energy is an innovation for scheduling car charing, focusing on a better charging service/user experience and helping people get faster, smoother and efficient service. Hygge Energy’s EV charging app facilitates the entire EV charging experience, scheduling EV charging appointments at the user’s preferred time of day and EV charging station location to payment through a tokenized cashless system. The app also enables battery swapping, wherein an EV driver can exchange their drained battery for a fully charged one from a swapping station.

My Contribution

My role as a UX/product designer was to build to take the app MVP to its next level. Create all high fidelity wireframes of Hygge Energy app following 2 weeks sprints to reiterate design based on stakeholder feedback collected.

  • Led the design work of creating High fidelity Figma wireframes and prototypes of three major user flows of the app.

  • Creating new custom icons, images and visual assets.

  • Prototype testing app onboarding with real user, documenting the testing process, collecting testing data to draw insights and share results with product manager and team.

  • Stakeholder demos to show the final prototype.

Process

Started the design phase with carefully studding the background of the projects. Understanding the process maps, app features, functionality, user base and requirements. Used my critical thinking and high level design skills to layout all the required screens for the 10 app flows. Working product manager and head of marketing and business development.

App Flows

  • Taking the app MVP of 25 screens to the completed app with 200+ screens. Following the existing visual design language, brand guide and design system for consistency and standard I completed the wireframes of all the required screens to take the app to a completion point.

App launch in 2022

The Hygge app was received well by the end user, car owners, transportation service clients and gas station owners. This app is currently used at gas the stations in central India to schedule the electric car charging and CNG fueling appointments. The app will also be used for setting appointments for refueling of hydrogen fuel in hydrogen run cars.
